About Me

I have a broad base work background that has equipped me with a vast resource of experiences that are invaluable to me as a therapist, enabling greater understanding and effective progress in your therapy.

“I strongly believe that we can only take personal responsibility for our own lives, our actions and our inactions”

I utilise several, personally tailored approaches in the exploration of personal meaning and individual truth. This means that I intuitively adapt the methodology of the therapy I use, to best meet your needs. I treat each client as a unique individual. The causes of the need for therapy are as varied as our human characteristics; it therefore follows that the solutions may be similarly complex or surprisingly simple. Listening is the key; and I hear what you may not be saying, as well as what you are saying. I respond to how you present at each session; each week you are a different complex being than you were at the previous one; you will have evolved and developed emotionally and cognitively. I respond intuitively to your needs.

I work by challenging your beliefs and coaching you to think for yourself so you can significantly improve your self confidence, self esteem and personal empowerment. As a result of this approach, you are highly likely to experience a renewed sense of hope, elevated mood and reduced anxiety, worry and stress. This may restore or even implement balance into your life.

I co-host a radio show discussing acute and chronic mental health issues and therapeutic approaches to dealing with issues that are often brought to therapy.

I facilitate Group sessions dealing with Chronic Anxiety and Depression. I also run smaller groups for people who want to address issues such as Weight Management, Improving Self Esteem, Confidence Building, Assertiveness and Abundance to name just a few.

Preston FM: Mind Matters

Aired in 2009 - 2010, Mind Matters is a series of hour-long radio programmes from Preston FM in which my colleagues Bob Brooks and Gary Harley and I discussed a range of issues affecting many people.

Through informal discussion, we explore what can potentially cause these issues to arise and outline the various ways of addressing them. The shows are available to listen to below.
